What causes short / long sightedness?!
Question:
What causes short / long sightedness?
i recently got glasses and dont really know why. my sight is quite bad now, but i dont know what caused it, what could i have done - and what would someone perpously do to make them need glasses?

I can't really answer this question, but I've learned something really interesting before and that is that small babies in Africa who are carried on their mother's backs wrapped with a blanket end up with problems seeing far because when their eyes are developing they are always looking straight onto the mother's back because they get carried like that for hours.
Another thing which I have learned is that staring into computer games and television and computer for hours also cause your eyes to have problems looking into a distance.
