Ascending myelitis....?
my close relative has it...
do you know of any treatment or cure?
I know doctors think there is none, but i still think there might be something.....
and does it worse or anything with age?

Ascending Myelitis is marked by progressive paralysis with gradual loss of feeling that is caused by physical injury of illness. You see, myelin is the tissue that surrounds the spinal cord, and when this tissue deteriorates or is affected by injury a swelling of the spinal cord called myelitis occurs. It may become much worse with age, perhaps becoming total paralysis and causing an earlier death, and the only way to treat it is with physical therapy and pain killers. So all I can say is, I feel bad for your relative because I certainly wouldn't want Ascending Myelitis!!!
