Unless you want to hear things, the hearing aid will help. If deaf without the hearing aid, more like peace of quietness, although your sight and sense of smell is what you rely on! Yet to lipread everyone you come into conversation with...Some people loose patience quickly when they have to repeat something over 3 times to a deaf person not wearing their hearing aid.
Same applies to a person who wears glasses, also keeps mistaking things for something different coz they are not wearing their glasses when they should!
I see some deaf people have colour designed hearing aids in colour, even their ear moulds are also in choice of colours, neato!
