I can't hear out of one of my ears... why?!

Question:

I can't hear out of one of my ears... why?

I clean wax from my ear everyday and I'm very careful of not going too deep into the ear.
I sometimes wear headphones, but never have the volume turned up too high.

Trouble is, I can't hear properly out of one of my ears, it feels like it needs to pop, but no amount of yawning, swallowing, holding my nose and pushing air (the general things you'd do when your ear needs to pop) seems to work.

I've tried some ear drops that disperse ear wax, but it's been a week and still no change.

Anyone know whats happened and how I can fix it? - preferably without having to go to the doctor, but if theres no other option then I will.

Thanks.

Answers:

Hmm..it could be allergies. Or, you could have water in your ear, or something stuck in it. If it keeps happening, and gets worse, see a doctor. Wait a while and see, if no difference, i guess you may have to see a doctor.
