Can you get Bell's Palsy from going to bed with wet hair?!

Question:

Can you get Bell's Palsy from going to bed with wet hair?

Answers:

I have had a couple of doctors tell me that it was possible - like having a neck ache/cramping from sleeping in a drafty area. However, I really have a hard time believing that an illness that lasts from 3 weeks to 3 months can be caused by something like going to bed with wet hair... Wouldn't tons more people get it if that were the case???

If you have suffered from Bell's Palsy, please be sure to get all of the testing done to make sure that there is not an underlying illness causing your Bells, like Lyme disease, MS, or a central nervous system infection. If it is Lyme disease or a central nervous system infection, you can be treated with antibiotics and avoid damage to your organs and brain. If something like this is left untreated, you could face more serious consequences down the line. Don't let your doctors off of the hook until you have had the tests done and you know that it was just Bell's - not something more serious.
