Poor you, cystitis is such a hideous infection. My suggestion to you is to drink lots and lots and LOTS of water. I don't mean a cup, I mean drink a cup every few minutes. When I get it, that's what I do, because it flushes the infection straight out. It dilutes the urine too, so it's not painful to pass anymore. What will happen with the water is that it will fill the bladder, then you'll be able to go to loo and have a proper wee (sorry couldn't think what else to call it!), which will take out the infection. That works with me. Cranberry juice is more of a preventative thing - if you've already got an infection, then it might not help.

Make sure the cranberry juice you're drinking is sugar free, and cut down on your sugar intake. I find when I've had a binge I'm prone to infections like that, it's an annoying fact of being female!

If nothing works, go to your doctor. You don't want this infection to get to your kidneys, because it'll be even more painful and dangerous. If you start getting stomach pains, then go to the doctor as well, just to be on the safe side. In the mean time, try drinking lots of water as I suggested, because it will help with the pain a little, if not completely.
