Does cartilage ever turn to bone?!
Question:
Does cartilage ever turn to bone?
Answers:
That is the principle way bones are formed...its called endochondral ossification...hyaline cartilage is changed to bone in mainly long bones...the rest of the bones are formed by intramembranous ossification which is when bones form from mesenchymal cells
The other person was talking about Fibrodysplasia ossificans progressiva or FOP where muscles and connective tissues change to bone when they are damaged
