Or at least one that results from a lack of sleep--while trying to get your sleep patterns back into synch?

I'm feeling your situation a lot at the end of the semester, when I've got too much to grade and not enough time to do it. The smart thing to do is take a short but uninterrupted nap of about 10 minutes. No more than that, and no caffeine or stimulants for 2 hours beforehand, or you'll end up even more tired than before. The 10 minute power nap will give you a second wind that will get you through to bedtime, and you'll be able to sleep a lot better than you expected. Sweet dreams!
