Help me sleep. PLEASE!!!!!!!!?

Every night is the same thing. Up till 2, cant get out of bed in the moring and feel like crap. Has been since I was a kid in early middle school. My body is so exhausted and all I want to do is sleep, but my mind wont stop. I can lay in bed for hours and not fall asleep, no matter how hard I try. I try to relax and focus my eyes while closed and try to relax my body from toes to head or head to toes and try meditating and yoga and everything to relax me and help me go to sleep but my mind is always racing. I've tryed prescription sleeping pills and otc as well when I was younger and I had several bad experiences and dont like using them. Every night I have a cup of tea (decaffinated green tea with honey to be exact) and lay down in bed with a soft light and read for awhile to help me relax and lay down to go to bed. But usually give up an hour to an hour and a half later because my mind wont let me sleep. Any tips or ideas to help besides sleeping pills, I would greatly appreciate it!

Im up every morning at 6 am, take no naps, and go on a daily walk with my son (aprox 1.5 miles) I excersize on top of that, take vitamins, eat healthy. Live a healthy lifestyle with not many stressors and I still cant sleep. Just extra info. Thanks for the help already, I hope it continues everyones suggestions will be taken to heart and tryed before possibly scheduling apointment with dr. Just in a financial bind right now, while the problem has been getting worse, dont have the money to see the doc for awhile so home remidies would be awesome. Thanks again.


Answers:

Well a quick fix could be some Melatonin or Valerian root from you local healthfood store.

But what you really need is a sleep study. Your health insurance pays, you go in & they hook you up to monitors....you TRY to sleep & they figure out the prob, then help you. Talk to your doc about this.
