Is it bad to sleep too much??!


Question:

Is it bad to sleep too much??

like okay i usually go to bed at 11:30. but sometimes i dont fall asleep right away. i usually fall asleep like around 2 in the morning. & i wake up at 10:30 in the morning. but if my mom is home & it's past 10:30, she comes in & wakes me up because she says that sleeping too much is bad for you because something about your liver... & when she wakes me up, i sometimes want to keep on sleeping. but i dont want to be sleeping the whole day. so is sleeping too much bad for you? why? & do you think i wake up at a reasonable time?

I'm not sure if sleeping too much is bad, but I feel like it makes me more tired when I sleep too much. You don't want your body to be used to that because you'll get tired more easily when you're out and about doing things. Waking up at 10:30 isn't bad, I'm usually up around that time. The best amount of sleep is 7-8 hrs a night, do that without taking any naps during the day and see how you feel, because I usually feel much better.
