Gallbladder Flush? Is this safe?

I have a friend who is having a gall bladder attack. She says she needs to have her gallbladder removed but like many of us, she has no medical insurance. Her doctor recommended that she does a "Gallbladder Flush". This involves drinking a pint of extra virgin olive oil while intermittently drinking 8 ounces of lemon juice. That's A LOT OF OIL AND A LOT OF LEMON JUICE! Is this safe? If its safe, it sure as hell can't be pleasant! Wouldn't you have to sit on the toilet and crap vinaigrette dressing for about 48 hours? Can this harm you in any way?

My friend isn't looking for "shortcuts". She has no medical insurance and she also doesn't have $20,000.00 for an operation. It was actually her doctor who recommended the treatment....
