What is "Scant Cellularity"?!

Question:

What is "Scant Cellularity"?

*SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY*

I just got my medical records, in my Pap report from 2006 the comments section of my report states, "Scant Cellularity." What does that mean, and should I be worried?

I want to know if this is related to another issue I am having. It's been 4 months since I have had my period, and I have taken a dozen home pregnancy tests of various brands and all have been negative. It's weird because I get the usual PMS, cramping, headaches, mood swings, just no bleeding. I am on the "pill" and in a monogamous relationship. I do Pilates a few times a week, nothing strenuous, eat relatively health. I do have an appointment to see the doctor regarding this. I'm just scared that it's cancer or I'll be infertile and I'm only 25. I have no family history of this sort of thing so...

Answers:

I think the report is referring to the lack of cellular elements (cervical cells) on the slide. Atypia or atypical are words that are used with cancer
