Are there actual medical teams like the one on HOUSE MD?

This question is for anyone who works at a hospital. are there actual medical teams?

as in House, Cameron, Chase, and Foreman. are there actual groups like the one they are involved in at hospitals?

I am on my sisters name -- I am a doctor in a hospital.
What do you mean medical terms? Like in general, yes there is a term for pretty much everything. House is a good show... its a bit dramatic as far as how real everything is but everything on that show is a real disease or problem etc.

I read the question wrong.. I thought you said "medical terms"... sorry I have been on-call for too long. Yes, there are medical teams, although they usually consist of an attending, a resident and the interns. Each department is usually there own team.. ie, the cardio (heart) team, the gastro (stomach) team, the orthopedic team, the surgery team, the pediatric team, the intesive care unit team. Then there is the radiologists and the MRI techs, CT techs, the people that work in the lab.. etc. We usually don't call them teams tho. They are usually referred to as "service". Like, I am an attending of surgery -- I have a resident and my interns. We are a "service". Well, we are supposed to be -- but our hospital had fun and have each "service" there own name. As far as breaking into the houses and going into the forensics lab -- that doesn't happen in reality. The police and detectives do all of that. We have too many patients to care for. We do have more than 1 or 2 patients at a time. The only thing that is really reality on House is probably the diagnosis -- some are more rare than others, but the writer sends the scripts to surgeons and they fill them out with real diseases etc.

for your added detail... yes. it is rare to find that though because we all get called to different patients and we can't stay together.
