I went to the doctor, she did a strep test and it was negative. She has me on azithromycin tablets for 5 days. I started yesterday, ( monday ), i think she said it was from the nasel drip and congestion that was bothering my throat. Thanks for all of your suggestions, they are a big help! : )

Let's see: Gargle warm salt water, drink hot lemonade with honey in it, drink lots of water to keep it from getting dry. The you can try the medications like theraflu (REALLY GOOD) and throat spray's but those only give relief for a few min.
