If Alcohol lowers testosterone, why are some people MORE aggressive when drinking? Quoted from an MSN men's health & fitness article I was reading: ("Alcohol consumption decreases testosterone," says Glenn Cunningham, M.D., a professor of medicine at Baylor College of Medicine. Over time, decreased testosterone levels lead to an increase in obesity and fat tissue, and a decrease in muscle mass, libido and erectile function.) Somewhat conflicting from what I've seen with aggressive drinkers...

Wouldn't it be nice if the human body were as simple as that?
Testosterone levels and aggressive behavior have only a tenuous link. On the other hand, there's no doubt that alcohol suppresses a lot of our higher cortical processes, including learned "civilized" behavior. It also tends to blunt our critical thinking when it comes to song, dance and companionship, if you'll notice.
