What types of qualities make a good chiropractor? What can I do as a graduating Dr. to stand out among others?
I am going to school to become a chiropractor at Palmer this October. I want to be the best I can be by learning different forms of therapy such as becoming certified in Bowen Therapy and Rolfing. I sincerely want to help people and dont care much about making lots of money-Does anyone have any recommendations on how I can stand out and be top notch among the others??? Hi Doc, I am a retired Chiropractor. Top Chiropractors have several attributes in common.
1) They are true masters of the art, science, and philosophy of Chiropractic.
2) They are masters in 'human relations' - listening, patient communication, patient education, and patient motivation.
3) They are 'present' at all times with their patient (Dr. Parker called this Present Time Consciousness - PTC).
4) They are absolute masters of their chosen techniques - which means they study and practice, and study and practice, and study and practice every day of their life.
Get your patients well and you will stand out. The more patients you help, the more patients the universe will send you to help. Master your ability to help patients. Put your patients first in everything you think, say and do. When you do, THEY will make you stand out!
