Is it safe to drink when using Hayfever tablets?
I'm taking some tablets called Cetirizine to help with my hayfever, but it says "avoid alcohol". If I don't take the tablets the day I'm going to be drinking, will it still affect me? And I'm a lightweight, so will even a bit of alcohol matter?
Answers:
In theory, cetirizine and alcohol do not share common modes of action. However, one will enhance the drowsiness and dizziness brought on by the other, so you'll feel the effects of alcohol quicker.
Just know your limit and don't operate any heavy machinery (and definitely do not drive).
