Can the dye in a red velvet cake have a negative reaction in a person's stomach?
I have noticed a very strange feeling in my stomach, almost immediately after eating a small cupcake. Is it the amount of dye in the mix that could be upsetting my stomach?
Answers:
As sensitivity to red dye can be the culprit ---but if red dyes never bothered you before then it's probably coincidence. Perhpas try another small piece tomorrw and see if you have the same reaction ---then you will know for sure!

Red dyes can be found in red m&m's, doritos, pizza falvored pringles, pizza combos, red hot potato chips, and red candies and some canned tomatos have red dye in to enhance color!
