Pain in Lower Right Lobe?!

Question:

Pain in Lower Right Lobe?

have been having pain in my lower right lobe on my lung. It has been going on for three weeks now – I went to the Urgent Care and they said I strained my back muscle. Well now my side is hurting, I have been having horrible headaches, my whole body aches, I am so tired and I have been having chest pain – well not exactly chest pain just more of a dull ache near my breast bone. Sometimes hard to get a deep breath - have that problem for motnhs - doctor said it could be slight asthma. Now I have a dull ache starting on my left ribs – but I think that may have to do with the fact I moved Thursday through Saturday. Does this sound like Pneumonia or perhaps something else?

Answers:

I have had asthma since I was 2 years old. I have had pains like yours before... actually for about the past year or so. I've had a lot of different pains in my chest and ribs. Sometimes I get really sharp pains in my lower ribs, sometimes my ribs are sore, sometimes my lungs feel like they hurt, somtimes i get chest pains, and other pains too. My doctor said that she isn't sure why I get pains, but it's probably from inflammation. I have been on a couple different medication over the past months. I've been on albuterol the whole time, then serevent, then they added pulmicort, then they added theophylline, then they took all of those away and just have me on albuterol and singulair now. I haven't had as many pains lately (knock on wood). You could have pneumonia or asthma or something. I'd go back to your doctor and get checked out again. Good luck and feel better.
