Hands swelling?!

Question:

Hands swelling?

They usually swell when I'm outside in p.e. (they become puffy and like sausage fingers lol) At first, I thought it was an allergic reaction to latex gloves because one time I was wearing gloves and when I removed them, my hand was so sweaty that half of the glove was full of sweat and my hand swelled up. Though, I live in Vegas so maybe it is the heat or from sweating?? And my hands are normally very cold especially during the winter. Does anyone know what this is?

Answers:

It could be the heat. It could also be from the physical activity. Sometimes when I run or go on a long hike, my hands swell up some too. I even have to take my rings off sometimes.

I think it's because of the movement of your arms swinging back and forth so much, the blood fills up in your hands more, and they swell. Gravity and centrifugal force moves the blood and fluids out to your hands. Try drinking more water. Also, make sure you warm up properly. Get your muscles and heart warmed up, so that they're ready to take on the physical exertion you're about to do. Stretch and loosen up the body.
