Question:

Can someone describe what a seizure looks like in a baby? Especially a staring seizure.?

My son is 12 months old and had the MMR shot 5 days ago. He came down with a 103.5 fever yesterday. B/c it's 4 days after the shot the dr doesn't think it's related, but I definitely do. And my son was staring straight ahead for about 2 minutes when I strolled him into our apt yesterday. Unless he's asleep, he ALWAYS gets antsy when we come home and sits forward in the stroller eager to get out. It scarred me yesterday when he just layed back and stared straight ahead. But he wasn't twitching. He was warm though.

We've had him on Motrin and Tylenol since and his fever is down to 100.
(I've posted this under baby too)

Answers:

Honey I would watch him carefully. Please do not over medicate him. Only give him Motrin or Tylenol if he is running a temp. I would consider switching Pediatricians too. If you are close to a Children's hospital go there. Try locating one on the Internet nearest your home. There is one in every state. At this point it is not wise to take any chances. He could have been sleeping with his eyes open. I still do that. it's freaky but it happens. Please advice your doctor though.
Best of Luck
God Bless
