Will the NHS ever get out of the hole it is in?!

Question:

Will the NHS ever get out of the hole it is in?

i am particularly thinking of the multi-million pound debt the trusts are in. What could they introduce to help this? I think people who require treatment for obesity/alcohol or drug abuse should pay for their treatment (obviously i dont mean people who are obese due to a medical condition)

Answers:

As boring as this answer may appear pleas stick with it, first waiting lists are down people are waiting less time for operations, second research was done in to the tax that smokers paid and the conclusion was that smokers pay more tax than is spent on them by the NHS as they tend to DIE, thirdly i (as a disgruntled NHS professional looking to move abroad) believe that the problem with the NHS is that it is ran as a business with to many managers with to many ideas i believe that for the NHS to survive it should only supply emergency service. GP,s should charge a minimal fee for a consultation to prevent time wasters after all dentists do and that system is not abused, and at last to answer your question NO!!!
