Answers:

The symptoms you are having such as vomiting etc.. do not sound like they are from the Vit-B but you must have a needle fobia(I am not a Dr. but may people react to needles in this way.)
You can have the shot in your arm or in the upper quadrant of your rear end, either way the way to make it the least painful is to male sure that your muscle in the area of the injection is completely relaxed! when you tighten the muscle it makes it harder for the medication to flow. Vit- B shots are oil based as apposed to water based this means that the medication is thicker and often hurts a bit more as it makes its way into the muscle tissue.
There is an alternative that I'm sure your Dr. would agree with, unless you have some kind of condition I'm not familiar with.
many people including myself take Vit-b12 sub-lingual tabs that can be Rx's or I buy mine at Trader Joe's (a health food
market in California) I dot know were you live but they have a web site you can order from. You put them under your tongue and they dissolve right into the blood stream of the mucous membrane its the same as an injection.
If you HAVE to have an injection do it in tour butt. Seriously it does not hurt! it is quick and painless if you follow my advise about NOT tightening up your muscles. its only a few cc's and a small gauge needle. walk in walk out, its all over. No bruises maybe just a little ache for a few hours.
Good luck, hope this helped!
