What happens first - coma or depression of the breathing center?
If a person takes Phenobarbital, Diazepam and other drugs suppressing the CNS with alcool - what happens first - does he suffocate first because of the depression of the breathing center or does he/she falls in a coma?
Answers:
I'm assuming your talking about overdose......CNS suppression will first put you into a coma, and then slow down your respirations.......When breathing ceases you die.
