Why am I a night owl? And how do I deal with it?
I've always enjoyed staying up late in the night and I always dread waking up in the morning. I am a night owl and I always perform my absolute best in the late evening to late night. If I have to wake up early in the morning then I am an absolute walking zombie throughout the day.
I have temporarily accepted this by switching to a second shift job and scheduling my classes at college for the afternoon. However, I know when I get out of college the profession I have chosen will more than likely require me to wake up in the morning. (I want to be a geologist)
Everyone's on my case b/c I don't seem to sleep much since I have difficulty going to bed and I sleep the day away if I have the chance. I try explaining this to them but they don't buy it, I've lost 2 jobs because of this. I have tried sleeping pills, they don't work. Plus, I don't like relying on a drug to function.
I want a decent day job and I'm tired of missing out on all the action during the day.
