Why do we get bruisers?!
Question:
Why do we get bruisers?
When I hurt myself badly like on the weekend I twist my ankle but I don't often get a bruise from that. Is this a good think or a bad thing? Most of my life I have never come out in many bruisers, and I have fallen of horses and all types of things.
Answers:
Bruising, or "hematoma" is a leakage of blood under the skin from broken blood vessels. This normaly occurs when we receive an impact type injury. If you don't bruise easily, that's a good thing. But if you do bruise, it's normal too. The bruis fades as the blood is re-absorbed into the body.
