Why hold it in?
Why is it when certain people sneeze not only do they cover their mouth but try so hard to literally hold in the sneeze? It is like they are trying to restrain themselves from sneezing by locking their mouth shut and pinching their nose.

I don't mean "holding it in" like taking a tissue or something to keep from spraying snot and spit on anyone but just trying to stop yourself from actually sneezing. To me this really defeats the purpose of sneezing which is the body's expelling foreign matter which is irratating.
