Do you really know when you are going to die?!

Question:

Do you really know when you are going to die?

Ok so alot of people say a few minutes or even a few seconds before you die you know is this true and if so how can you know?

Answers:

I really do believe this to be true. With the death of both my grandmothers and one of my grandfathers strange things happened.

My dad hadn't spoken to his mother for some time due to a row. She was admitted to hospital and my dads siblings were with her, she was chatting away to them telling them what arrangements she wanted for her funeral. Then my dad turned up she hugged him, said I'm sorry son. She then started rambling and said "Jesus I'm ready now, I've done" and she went unconsious and died.

I was very close to my maternal grandmother and although she had about 10 strokes and was in a nursing home she was not ill at all. I decided to take a short holiday with her son (my uncle) and his girlfriend and a few others, I went to see her the day I was due to fly out and told her of my plans. In her own way she said she was pleased as I hadn't had a holiday for many years. On the day I was due to fly back I felt really funny all the way home on the plane and I just knew that someone was there to meet us although it hadn't been arranged. Nan had died the day before. Her daugher lived in London at the time (we live in Manchester) and when she heard Nan was ill she got the kids in the car to come up but it wouldn't start. She called the AA out and had to wait. Then she got the call that nan had died, the AA man turned up and there was nothing wrong with the car.

I believe that she wanted to save the ones of us that were the closest to her the pain of watching her die. My mum and her other siblings and husbands/wives were all with her but I am convinced she did not want me, my uncle or my aunt to be there.

With my grandfather, all his children were at his bedside apart from one of his daughters who was travelling a couple of hours from York when we were told he didn't have long left. As she walked onto the ward he smiled at her and stopped breathing.

I believe they all knew they were going to die and waited for the right people to be there, Grandma and Grandad waited for the ones they wanted to see to be there, Nanna wanted to save some of us from the great pain.
