Yes, that's been happening to me for years. Feels like a gunshot going off in my head.
Freaky (but not dangerous).
BTW: you are the ONLY other person I have heard of that this happens to. Most people experience the muscle jerks, but I think the buzzing in the head in quite rare. Even my doctor had never heard of it.
