How much for a trip to the ENT (Ear Nose Throat doc)?!

Question:

How much for a trip to the ENT (Ear Nose Throat doc)?

I went to the ENT the other day and the doc used a small tool to look up my nostrils for a few seconds. I am fine, but a few days later I have a bill for $400 before insurance coverage. What a costly 2 minutes in the office! For those who have been to an ENT for sinuses, Do you think I am being over charged or does this sound correct? my insurance company got the claim as outpatient surgery called endoscopy and I KNOW I DIDNT HAVE ANY SURGERY because I was in the office for about 5 total minutes!

Answers:

Medical bills are confusing! Try to talk to your nurse or doctor about the procedure to see if the medical biller assigned it correctly to your insurance. Somtimes the codes can get messed up.
