Are Chiropractors real doctors or are they just quacks? Some people claim?

that they are so great and have helped them in many ways. While others say they aren't really doctors and are really just a scam, that there is not good regulations and many are just quacks? What do you think?

I made this question general intentionally so i could get the most opinions without inserting my own personal opinions. FYI

They may be able to help some people, so a few are good and do their job correctly but most don't know what they are doing and can cause further damage to the already injured area they are treating. Notice when you go to a chiropractic doctor for treatment that they have you sign a form that prevents you from being able to sue them if they injure you during a treatment? I know from personal experience (I have gone to three chiropractor's in the past) that the end result can be additional damage to the injury and more intense pain. For instance I went for treatment after a back injury and later after a whiplash injury. I walked out of the office with an arm and shoulder totally inflamed and burning with pain that lasted almost three weeks! And other times I have gone for treatment and have never noticed improvement but always more pain after-wards. So if you decide to go, please rethink this.
