What is a good frequency for workouts?!


Question:

What is a good frequency for workouts?

I'm sixteen and want to start a morning exercise routine. I quess my question is: should I do exercises every day, every other day, or what? I don't want to get super built or anything, I just want to tighten up areas and tone them. Other then pushups, situps, and swimming does anyone have any suggestions?


Answers:

Two days strength training only (lift weights). Every fourth day.
Three days cardio (basketball, running, biking).
Two days rest.
Go easy on the weights, start light with lots of reps.
