HELP PLEASE: is this pink eye?

so the corner nearest my nose is pinkish red, no other part is red on my eye, and its been this way for two days now, im not sure if its pink eye or not bc 3 nights ago i woke up rubbing my eyes really really bad bc of allergies my mom sayd i most have irretated it or just rubbed it so hard that its pink now, my eye isnt swollen, so is it pink eye or did i hurt it rubbing it and if its pink eye what can i do about it, i dnt have insurance anymore so a doc is out of ? anything at walmart..will ahve to do> thanks alot

and is it really contagious?? how to prevent boyfriend whom i live with get it?? and i have a kitten can she get it?

It is the time of year for pink eye and allergies so its a hard call. pink eye is contagious through direct contact and such as using the same wash rag, make sure you use good hand washing technique.
Viral pink eye has a watery discharge with cold-like symptoms, usually the eyelids swell also.
Bacterial pink eye will have a yellow or green discharge and your eye lids will be "stuck together" when you wake . your schelera (the whites of your eyes) will be red/pink.
I do not think you have pink eye by your statement it could be an inflamed tear duck or allergies, if it does not clear up you need to see a Dr, you could try Visine over the weekend to give you some relief and keep your hands away from your eye, use a cool wet rag to lay on your eyes for relief also. take care, Pat
