Answers:

Before you specialize, you have to get through general medicine classes. You can wait for a while before deciding on a specialty. I work in a teaching hospital, and some times a resident starts one thing and then decides it's not for them, or after doing a rotation in one area, decides they want to focus there. For example, I know a doctor who was going to be an Internist. (A doctor that specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of adult diseases) During his residency, because of the high percentage of elderly patients we often had, he became interested in Gerontology.(A doctor that specializes in treating diseases and conditions found in the elderly) He is now a practicing Gerontologist, and he loves it. There is nothing wrong with becoming a General or Family Practitioner, if you can't settle on a specialty. My primary doc is a FP, and he is great.

Here are some types of Drs and what they specialize in:
Pulmonologist-diagnosis and treatment of lung conditions and treatments.
Cardiologist-treats problems of the heart, arteries and veins.
Oncologist-cancer diagnosis and treatment
Dermatologist-treatment and diagnosis of diseases and conditions of the skin.
Pediatrician-treats children

All of these could have sub-specialties. Take your time. Any college prep/level classes will be helpful, especially math and science.
