What OTC medicines kill demodex mites?
Are these mites a fungus so will anti fungal stuff kill them? Tea tree oil?
Answers:
Lots of stuff live on and in us and usually cause us no problems. Such is the case with small skin mites that live in our eyelashes, etc. That's the human demodex mite. These are animals (arthropods not fungi) and they can be killed with pyrethrin or any other scabicide, but there has been no well established link to any disease process. Possible links to acne and rosacea are unproven. Don't waste your money.
