How can I help my Mom with a Lung Infection?!

Question:

How can I help my Mom with a Lung Infection?

My Mom had Whooping cough, that lead to phnemonia, now she has a lung infection. She is 42 years old and this is the last thing she needs going on right now. Her doctors aren't sure about everything and I feel bad for her having to live like this. She will cough and cough until she either pukes or wets. What can I do to help her feel better? I really want to help her. Please Help! What at home stuff would be good for her? ANYTHING PLEASE!

Answers:

For lung infections thyme tea is great. It gets into your bloodstream and is excreted through the lungs, and is antibacterial and antiviral, so it gets to the bugs where they are causing the damage in the lungs.

Liquorice (herb not confectionery) is a good lung tonic and is soothing.

If you can get some liquorice root and thyme herb and make teas by putting a teaspoon of each into a teapot, adding boiling water and steep (covered) for about 10 minutes - give your mum about three cups a day. More is fine so long as she doesn't have high blood pressure.

I hope this helps and wish you and your mum all the best.
