Any organ donors REGRET giving up their organ for someone else?

If you have given up a kidney or part of your liver for someone else, do you regret doing it? Did you/ do you have any complications after the surgery? How is your life now? Are you able to lead an active, healthy life or has that all changed after you donated?
The reason I ask is that someone close to me is being pushed to give up a kidney and he is not the desk job type of person. So I want to know if anyone has had any complications that they could share with me. Thanks
