Tingling in extremities?!

Question:

Tingling in extremities?

I have started to have a timgling in my hands and feet and Penis (when erect.,..- not good), in short all of my extremities...now I didn't have diabetes last year...so no diabetic neuropathy..but I am taking a stitin drug for high cholesterol (314)....I am taking Lipitor (down to 248)...plus another driug that is supposed to work with the Lipitor (down to 178) I was taking Zocor, but had a bad reaction...NOW...having read some of the posts here...I am wondering if the Liptitor itself could be causing the condition? I am also a Musician... (Bass Guitar player) and the tingling is not a good thing to have to deal with. I would appreciate any input....thanks,

Answers:

Are you also taking B vitamins? Sometimes excess B6 can cause tingling in the extremities (and being a muso - thought you might be on the Bs)

The reaction you described is not a normal reaction to Lipitor according to my pharmacopaea, however, you should bring it up with your doctor.

If you are on Lipitor are you also taking Coenzyme Q10? Lipitor blocks endogenous production of CoQ10, so it is important that you take it with the Lipitor (it is necessary for heart health, the main reason you are trying to reduce your cholesterol).

If you want to lower your cholesterol naturally, feel free to email me.

I hope this helps, and wish you all the best.
