Is it normal for a sunburn to be itchy?

I got a sunburn earlier this week and now it is crazy itchy. . .is that normal? It hurts to scratch. . .but I need too. AHHHHHH!!!

Yeah it's normal, I'm going through the same thing! I got burned on my shoulders and its been peeling, gross. Just keep putting lotion or aloe vera on it.
