What is MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and is it possible I may have it?!

Question:

What is MS (Multiple Sclerosis) and is it possible I may have it?

What exactly is Multiple Sclerosis? Be as thorough as possible, please.

I've been having these, what I call "blackouts" for as long as I can remember. It happens often, I would say about once a week, sometimes twice a day, there really is no pattern to when I get these. But when it occurs, I feel really light headed and blackness comes over my eyes, then I start to lose balance. It's probably only 2-8 seconds long. I thought this was normal at first, I thought everybody had these small blackouts, but when I asked a few of my friends and even my mom "don't you hate when those little blackouts occur?" They had no idea what I was talking about. I think I mentioned it to my eye doctor as well and she said "You really need to get that checked out." This was about 5 years ago and I still have yet to get this checked out. I've probably been having these 'blackouts' since I was 10 years old (i'm now 19). And for he past 2 years I've been feeling really weak, not normal weak but seriously WEAK

I could have about 10 hours of sleep and still feel tired.
I can't even work out like a normal person, 'cause I start to feel light headed. Sometimes it feels like i'm not getting enough air, even though I am. It's difficult to explain.
And 've noticed that for the past 3 years or so I've been having a hard time conecentrating.
I don't have money to go see a doctor. What could this be?

I usually feel extremely weak when taking a warm shower, I was going to mention this, but figured it was probably nothing. But 2 days ago, I took a while I was taking a warm shower I felt weak and had to sit down in the shower for about 10 minutes until I could catch my breath and feel a bit better. It's difficult to explain my feelings, I can't really find any words to match it.
