This really depends on how much body fat you have on top of your abs really. If you are carrying a bit of extra weight try a cardiovascular exercise like runnning or skipping, and do the below exercises 3-4 times a week. A very good way to get one is hang from a bar and bring your knees up to your chest, do 3 sets of about 10 until this gets too easy and then increase the reps. If you find this difficult to start with, lay on your back with your hands flat on the floor, then raise your legs until they are straight above your hips and then lower them to about 3 inches off the floor.
