Can you have a migraine without any pain?!

Question:

Can you have a migraine without any pain?

I keep "seeing lights" and I can't focus. I don't have any pain or a headache of any kind, but I've been to the doctor before with symptoms like this (years ago) and they said it was just a migraine.

Answers:

yes you can. They are called optical migraines (I had them while I was pregnant). I didn't have trouble focusing though...I just saw lights. You may want to talk to a specialist to make sure that is what it is and not a detached retina or something.
