i understand where you are coming from .. i used to cut to and honestly i dont cover them up .. i used to tell people that my cat scratched me .. eventually they will fade and you can come up with any excuse you like to tell people if they ask .. makeup can hide the scars if they are lighter because they will blend them in .. but if someone closely looked they will be able to see them anyway..
