It can be hard, believe me, I've lots of experience with this unfortunately. Medical bills are always steep but I've found that doctors and hospitals are usually satisfied with whatever you can afford to send. As long as you keep them informed of your situation and what you're doing about it. This usually works with your other creditors as well. Keep a positive attitude above all else. Things will get better.
