Starving kid...?
Ok... I don't want to sound insensitive, but I have observed that many of the starving kids from Africa that are shown on TV have big bellies....
Is there a particular reason for that?
Answers:
Three reasons, one:enlarged liver, fat collect in the liver and there is not enough protein to lack of a better word push it all out. Two: edema due to fluid in the blood stream, and third:infections, causes swelling. (I was a nurse) Hope it helped.
