I have strep throat..i cant go to the doctors til next week & im wondering whats the best thing to do til then
i have white patches on my tonsils && my lymph nodes in my neck are starting to swell...my throat really hurts && i dont know what to do....im 17 && my mother says if im not better by tuesday then she will take me to see a doctor. so does anybody have any ideas on what i should do in the mean time or hould i push her to take me to a doctor right away? Also what is the worst thing that might happen if left completely untreated?

You really should go to a doctor who will prescribe antibiotics (Take all of them until finished. Do not stop taking the antibiotics when you feel better, because the bacteria is still in your system). One of the scary things about strep is that sometimes the bacteria will take up residence in your heart valves, causing serious and permanent damage. Go to a doctor. Don't mess with Streptococcus!
