Horrible headachess...im 14!?!

Question:

Horrible headachess...im 14!?

I have always gotten really bad headaches until i throw up for as long as i remember! I got braces to fix this problem because the doctor claimed it was due to the horrible alignment of my jaw. I still got the headaches for a while during the braces but again he had an excuse pain of moving my jaw. Everything wasnormal again for about a year, but the headaches have been coming back recently whenever i eat junk food...like if i eat more than two cookies and a bowl of ice cream in the same day i get migraines. My mom doesnt believe me anymore and when she does she acts like shes a doctor and says its dehydration but i drink 4 bottles of water a day and absolutely no disgusting pop! Is it still possible they are from dehydration or is it possible to get headaches from to much sugar?? I am pretty scared because i read Lurlene McDaniel's books and they are all about cancer and i experience a lot of the brain tumor symptoms. Am i being to paranoid??

Answers:

You need to relax and not worry about a brain tumor just yet, b/c that is not the most likely solution. But if you have seen doctors and there is still unexplained pain, don't be quiet about it. It would be very helpful for you to keep a diary so that maybe you and your doctors can determine the cause. If you say sweets trigger these include a food diary with how you feel throughout the day. The more detailed you are, the more it could help diagnose a trigger. Get a little notepad for your purse and as you go through the day write down as much as you can about what you are doing/eating/etc and how you feel. Even if this stuff seems unrelated it might help.

Push your mom and your doctors to look at this data and work with them on some possible treatments. Puberty does a lot of weird things to the body. My sister had seizures b/c she started menstrating so young. I had horrible headaches that they thought were migranes...but it was just my wisdom teeth. Both of these things cleared up w/out doctors knowing much so have faith that it will all be okay anyway!
