Why did she die?!

Question:

Why did she die?

A woman vomiting up blood on a floor in the ER while doctors and nurses alike watched her. They did not treat her because they said she had been discharged. This was her 3rd visit to the ER this month. She is now dead and leaves behind 3 children. How could this happen in the ER of a hospital?

Answers:

If I'm thinking of the same woman, then it's the one that died in Los Angeles. Yeah incredibly sad. There is no excuse for it, although from a health care standpoint, well our health care sucks, people fall through the cracks all the time. Except normally they only get screwed over money wise, since they don't die it doesn't make the news.

Also, the hospital that it happened at had a lot of problems in the past couple years with patient care and stuff. It's a community hospital pretty much in the ghetto of Los Angeles (I've actually been to that hospital and seen the condition of it and how packed it is. Not many hospitals have metal detectors and a security guard checking bags and purses as you walk in). Theoretically we should all have the same health care, but realistically, that's not going to happen. If that had been a celebrity instead of just some poor woman I bet she would have gotten attention right away. The sad reality of our world.

Lastly the hospital is going to close. They've had negligence complaints and other things where patients were left in danger and since they still haven't fixed it the hospital looks to close within the month.

The article below explains it.

Edit:
And for all those that say hospitals are cruel and doctors are mean. When the ER is packed with 30 people there's only so much the 2-4 doctors in the ER can do. It's not like it was just her and doctors and nurses watching her die. It's not an excuse but before you start dealing blame, there's a lot more factors besides they watched her die and are therefore bad people/hospital.
