I've looked around for this answer, and I couldn't find any clear one. I'm not sure if I have a deviated septum or not, most likely I do, but I'll be going to the doctor to see... I can't really breathe out of my nose, so I want to get it fixed. If it is medical such as a deviated septum, insurance covers some of it (how much?) but what if along with the deviated septum being fixed I also had cosmetic work done on it, would the insurance company still cover some of the work or would having added cosmetic to it cancel this out?

If you can't give me an answer don't answer this. I'm sick of people abusing this site.

I managed a plastic surgeons office for 4 years in Florida. Insurance did cover the cost of repairing the septum and any other medical issues however, cosmetic work would be covered by the patient. We never had insurance kick paying for the patients choice in cosmetic work. They covered the medical concerns. After you have a consultation, prices will be gone over with you and the office may check on insurance benefits or the may have you do it. They aught to give you a savings if you have several procedures done.
