Hot days????????????

i always i mean always get head ace's when its hot out even when im inside in a cold house is this normal and why is this happening all the time (has gone on for all my life)

Answers:

I have a similar problem with the heat, and after about fifty years of living in the hot Australian sun (with some time in the tropics) I have developed a couple of strategies that work for me.

Firstly, wherever possible I swim in the mornings. I find this helps me get through the hot days (I don't know why, but it is much better than a cool shower or bath)

I also make sure I drink a lot - water with a bit of flavour to help absorption.

Sometimes increasing salt intake helps (if I get that really empty, faint, feeling in my upper abdomen I know that if I have a glass of water with a little salt in it I will feel better almost immediately. (If you don't need t he salt it will taste awful, and can make you throw up). Coke also helps (Cola, not drug). (I'm not normally a big fan of coke, but found it really useful for heat exhaustion in the tropics).

I also find that if I find a way to keep my feet, wrists and neck cool I'm a bit better. (But like you, even if I'm inside in a cool place, my body still seems to know it's hot)

Getting enough sleep makes a huge difference to coping with the heat. Possibly because if you are already exhausted, heat exhaustion is aggravated. I have been known to sleep with a wet beach towel over me in really hot weather (It's literally freezing where I am now, so the thought of a wet beach towel gives me goosebumps - but it works in hot weather)

I hope this helps, and wish you all the best.
